Life & Death in NYC is a one-day summit bringing conversations around death into the open and exploring mortality and meaning as a path toward living more fully.

Presented in partnership with local churches, end-of-life organizations and practitioners, this gathering invites all who are curious to participate and share in education and conversation, illuminating how we may prepare to face death in ways that are beautifully hospitable, deeply human, and grounded in hope.

Our summit theme this year is "Carry Each Other.” We will explore the ways we care for one another in life and in death, in our communities and as individual caregivers for our family, friends, and neighbors. We are living (and dying) during times of great change: the rapid rise of unfamiliar and powerful technology, an increasingly geriatric population, shifts in legal options within the end-of-life landscape, to name a few. Let us consider together how we may live with wisdom, keeping mortality in mind, in order to care well for ourselves and for one another.
